MyYate is the website for Yate where you'll find information about events, organisations and businesses in and around the town.
The key to our success is our up-to-date and comprehensive coverage of events in town, giving our audience good reason to visit again and again. We offer a range of advertising options so local businesses can promote themselves to this audience:
Basic text ad
Free.
Text ads (basic)
We offer a free listing to businesses in the area, so even if you're not ready to advertise on the site in earnest, you still won't miss out. A free listing includes your business name, address and phone number.
Enhanced text ad
£60 per year.
Text ads (enhanced)
An enhanced text ad is a cost-effective way to promote your business and let people know what you offer. Your entry can include your address, phone number, email and website links, as well as a paragraph of information about what you offer.
Display ad
£240 per year.
Includes enhanced text ad.
£20 setup.
Display ads
Display ads are graphic panels that allow you to include images and more information. Not only will your ad appear on its directory page, but it will take turns in appearing in strategic positions all over the site. Your ad can be a clickable link, taking visitors to a feature page, event detail page, or your own website.
We can design and create your ad for you from a brief, logo or any artwork you use.
Display ads are 240x120 pixels, and we aim for a pleasing, simple style. We won't carry garish or animated ads.
Cost: £20 per month, which includes an enhanced text ad. There's a £20 setup fee, which includes us preparing your ad from scratch, or using your artwork or design elements.
Sidebar ad
£480 per year.
Includes enhanced text ad.
£20 setup.
Sidebar ads
Sidebar ads are smaller than regular display ads, but they more than make up for this by appearing on just about every page on the website, giving you a much greater number of impacts per visitor. As the premium spot on the site, there are only a limited number of spaces for sidebar ads available.
As with display ads, your sidebar ad can be linked - when a visitor clicks on an ad, they will be taken to your website or feature page.
Cost: £40 per month, which includes an enhanced text ad. There's a £20 setup fee, which includes us preparing your ad from scratch, or using any of your artwork or design elements.
Feature pages

Available only in conjunction with a display or sidebar ad.
£50 setup.
If you've more information to get across than will fit in a simple ad, we also offer feature pages - effectively a one-page website for you - as an additional option that can be added to (and linked from) display and sidebar ad packages.
Your feature page can include photos, logos and maps, and we can also provide a shortcut web address in the format www.myyate.co.uk/yourname that you can publicise via your own stationery and promotional material.
Having a feature page on MyYate is just £10 per month, with a one-off setup fee of £50 to build it. The cost includes reasonable changes and updates to the page as required.
