Lettys Parkyn explains the uses of plants from cleaning to cooking. Visitors may participate in some traditional Tudor household activities such as making soap, sweet powders and sweetmeats, and dying cloth. Lettys has over 10 years experience of re-enacting and will give a rare insight into what life was like for the common person in Tudor times. She has made an extensive study of the works of Gerard and Culpepper on herbs and their uses.
