The Award Winning Gardens of Beechwell House in Yate, just recently reviewed in the September BBC Gardeners World Magazine, are open to the public again as part of the NGS National Garden Scheme.
This town garden is filled with rare and exotic plants from around the world, including 6 different types of palm trees. There also many types of Banana trees, Bamboos, tree ferns and succulents. See some plants here that you'll only see at Eden or 2000 miles further south!
Entrance is £3 per adult (children free), and there are delicious cream teas and cakes. All the money goes to worthy charities like Macmillan.
