vulnerable residents in the Yate area offering to treat roofing tiles. Contact details given by these traders have proven to be false.
Incidents such as these are linked to distraction burglaries and residents are encouraged to report them to Trading Standards.

South Gloucestershire Trading Standards are concerned by clothing collection leaflets being posted through residents’ doors.
Many stop short of falsely claiming they are collecting on behalf of national charities, but give the impression that by donating you will be benefiting a worthy cause.
