Yate Shopping Centre is introducing a cycle free zone. Anyone entering the Centre with a bicycle will be asked to leave via the walkway they entered and will be advised of the nearest cycle racks.
Andrew Lowrey, Yate Shopping Centre Manager said “We have had several complaints that people are riding or wheeling cycles through the Centre and ignoring requests from our security team not to do so.
“We expect a noticeable increase in footfall when the new Tesco Extra store opens on the 24th October, so hopefully these new measures will prevent future issues and make the Shopping Centre a safer place for all shoppers.”
